Work Experience Education Program (WEEP)

Research shows that students who interact with employers are less likely to find themselves without employment, education or training. Research also shows that secondary school teachers believe that quality work experience and employer interactions have a direct impact on exam results and are critical to achieving top grades at secondary school. Our Work Experience Education program focuses on connecting students to employers to learn about the world of work, and for others, especially graduates, to market their skills to employers most likely to hire them in a secure and private environment. WEEP increases young people and graduates’ access to practical working opportunities, exploring a variety of work conditions so they ascertain their interest and suitability for desired careers while on the job and working with adults.

Our Current Projects

Explore Careers Project:

Through Explore Careers project, Careerpath works with schools and employers to give pupils and students an opportunity to visit and meet future employers at the workplace as part of their career exploration. By doing so, young people can familiarize with their desired future careers, get more exposure, and be inspired to pursue careers in particular sectors. Young people visit employers whose work is aligned to their dream career jobs.
